Contemporary glamour finds its home in The Kress-the 38,800 square foot dining and entertainment complex located in the historic old Fredericks of Hollywood building. within The Kress lie five unique venues-on the main floor, a full service restaurant conceived with Oriental themes, including hand painted koi fish wallpaper, gold vinyl high-back booths, and a custom six tier red glowing art deco octagonal chandelier. Overlooking the restaurant on the mezzanine is the sushi bar,, accented with glowing fluorescent lotus lights, individual dining booths, and the private glass-encased dining room.
Downstairs from the restaurant at The Kress is the seductively chic nightclub designed with deep purple velvet private booths, black velvet and silver metallic wall treatments, and voyeuristic photography. Together, these elements evoke an air of sensuality with a rock n roll twist. In preserving the Art Deco language into the various interior elements of The Kress, Davis Ink achieved a combination of ultra-sophistication with modern funk.
